- Butryn Ihor Bohdanovych was born on June 10, 1984, in the city of Ternopil. During his service, Senior Soldier Ihor Butryn established himself as a responsible and diligent serviceman, honorably fulfilling the tasks assigned to him to protect the interests of Ukraine. In August 2022, Ihor Butryn was called up to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine for mobilization and was assigned to serve in the rapid response border command of the 1st border detachment. In December 2022, Senior Soldier Butryn, as part of his unit, carried out combat missions in the area of the 11th border detachment in the Donetsk region. While defending the city of Soledar, Ihor Butryn performed all tasks bravely and heroically, making a significant contribution to the defense of the state sovereignty, ensuring territorial integrity, and national security. This area became a key direction in the offensive by the Russian Federation's forces. In January 2023, border guards faced fierce fighting with the occupying army there. On January 9, 2023, during the defense of the territory of the "Mine 5" enterprise, while in a position that was subjected to a massive attack by the invader and came under intense mortar fire, Senior Soldier Ihor Butryn sustained injuries incompatible with life. For his personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to military oath, Senior Soldier Butryn Ihor Bohdanovych was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.Memory Book of the MIA System
