      Junior Sergeant, Squad leader – gunner
      37th separate motorized infantry battalion (93rd separate mechanized brigade)
      Killed in action on June 6, 2018, in battle when an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group attempted to encircle the Ukrainian Armed Forces' platoon stronghold in the area of the village of Pisky in the Yasynuvata district of Donetsk region. While pursuing the enemy, Ihor was blown up by a tripwire mine. It was not possible to find and evacuate the body of the deceased due to the mining of that area. The militants handed over Ihor's body to the Ukrainian side on June 11, 2018.
