- Born on February 7, 1974, in the village of Slobidka, Novhorod-Siverskyi district, Chernihiv region. In 1979, he moved with his family to the city of Pervomaisk, Voroshilovgrad (now Luhansk) region. From 1981 to 1984, he studied at the secondary school in the city of Pervomaisk. In 1984, he returned with his family to the Novhorod-Siverskyi district of Chernihiv region. In 1989, he graduated from the 8th grade of the secondary school in the village of Loska, Novhorod-Siverskyi district, and in 1991, he graduated from the secondary school in the village of Slobidka, Novhorod-Siverskyi district. From 1992 to 1994, he served in the tank troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Khmelnytskyi region). After the army, he returned to the village of Slobidka, Novhorod-Siverskyi district, Chernihiv region. He worked as a tractor driver at the "Peremoha" state farm. Later, he moved to the city of Chernihiv. He worked as a driver of tracked vehicles at the Private Joint Stock Company "Budindustriya" (city of Chernihiv). On July 7, 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Novhorod-Siverskyi district military commissariat of Chernihiv region. He served as a mechanic-driver of an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) in the 53rd separate mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit V0927, cities of Sievierodonetsk/Lysychansk, Luhansk region). Since 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On June 5, 2016, around 21:30, an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group attempted to move along the railway near the Maiorsk station (near the city of Horlivka) towards the city of Toretsk, Donetsk region. Ukrainian soldiers, having detected the enemy, opened fire. Under the cover of a 120-mm mortar, the saboteurs retreated, but one of the fired shells hit the forward observation post. As a result of the explosion, soldier Medved was killed, and two other fighters were wounded.
