- Soldier Ihor Puzijchuk (call sign Harik) died on April 8, 2024 while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Yampolivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 36 years old. Ihor was born in St. Petersburg (Russia). In childhood, he moved with his parents to the Zhytomyr region, then to Kyiv. There he graduated from school and the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management with a degree in Management. He worked in the trade sector in managerial positions, in particular in the household appliance stores "Foxtrot", "Allo", "Eldorado". In his free time, he loved to fish, relax in nature, and spend time with his family. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Ihor voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. His military path began in the 126th battalion of the 112th separate brigade of territorial defense. Later, he was transferred to the 60th separate mechanized Inhulets brigade. In the last months of service, he fought in the unit of strike unmanned aerial systems "Vidar". During his service, the soldier was awarded the medal "Veteran of War - Participant in Combat Operations", the honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Golden Cross", the medal "Cross of the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade" and posthumously - the Order of Courage of the III degree. "Ihor was a man with a big heart, always ready to help. He was positive and sincere, like a magnet, he attracted people to himself. My brother was truly a courageous person. Without hesitation, he stood up to defend our country and gave his life for the independence and freedom of Ukraine," said the warrior's sister Kateryna. The military was buried at the Bortnychi cemetery in Kyiv. Ihor is survived by his parents, sister, wife, two daughters, and other relatives and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
