- Sergeant Igor Sydyaha (call sign "Revizor") died on May 18, 2023 near the village of Lyman Pershyi in the Kharkiv region. He sustained fatal injuries in close combat, shielding his comrades. The warrior is now forever 50 years old. Igor was born in the village of Velyki Birky in the Ternopil region. He graduated from the West Ukrainian National University, where he obtained a degree in economics. He built a successful career as a civil servant, holding the position of auditor (inspector) in the Department of Internal Audit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. He was passionate about weapons, cars, loved to travel and spend time with his family. With the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022, Igor voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 105th separate brigade of territorial defense. He was a combat vehicle commander and a commander of a mechanized platoon in the 82nd separate battalion. "My father grew up in an extremely patriotic family. He loved and valued everything Ukrainian. No matter how difficult it was for him, he always said: 'Who, if not me!'. He was fair and loyal, always protecting and supporting those around him. He was a good advisor and had authority among his comrades," said the defender's daughter, Khrystyna. The warrior was buried in his native village. He is survived by his mother Lyubov, wife Nadia, daughters Khrystyna and Iryna, and granddaughters Daryna and Sophia. Igor Sydyaha was posthumously awarded the Order of the President of Ukraine "For the Defense of Ukraine" and the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
