- Senior soldier Ihor Vozniuk (call sign Pavuk) was killed on July 26, 2023, from fragmentation and explosive injuries sustained during enemy mortar shelling near the village of Novodarivka, Zaporizhzhia region. The defender was 35 years old. Ihor was born in the village of Kozyna, Ivano-Frankivsk region. After school, he received education at the Bolekhiv Forestry Technical School. He worked in construction in Kyiv. He lived with his family in Ivano-Frankivsk. In October 2022, he was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine through mobilization. He defended the country as part of the 102nd separate brigade of territorial defense, holding the position of sniper-scout in the 201st battalion. For his service, the warrior was awarded several honors: the "For Valor in Combat" distinction, the Ivano-Frankivsk mayor's distinction "For Honor and Valor" (posthumously), the "For Merits to Prykarpattia" medal (posthumously), the "Honorary Citizen of the City" distinction (posthumously), and the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council's "Knight of Combat Deed" medal (posthumously). "His victory never came... My brother was a good and kind person. He loved his wife, son, and daughter, his parents, and us with his brother very much. He was an example for me. During his service, he had authority among his comrades-in-arms, he became a brother to them," said his younger sister Antonina. Ihor was buried in his native village. The hero left behind his parents, wife, son, daughter, brother, and sister. In 2023, a memorial plaque in his honor was installed on the facade of the school he attended.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
