- 33-year-old Junior Lieutenant Ihor Brovko (call sign Maestro) was killed on April 1, 2024 in the area of the village of Kalinivka in the Donetsk region. While performing his official duties, he suffered a fatal explosive injury. Ihor was born in the village of Stari Petrivtsi, Kyiv region. He obtained a degree in musicology. He dedicated his entire life to music, was a music teacher, and led a children's guitar group. He worked at the Center for Cultural Services of the Petrivska Rural Council, the "MAK" art studio, and the Vyshhorod Lyceum "Active school". He was also a deputy of the Petrivska Rural Council from the public movement of Mykola Tomenko "Native Country". Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, on a voluntary basis, he defended his native Kyiv region as part of the Petrivska territorial community volunteer formation. He was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on March 11, 2023 and, together with his comrades-in-arms, honorably and with dignity defended the Motherland in the Donetsk direction. He served in the 468th separate infantry battalion of the 143rd separate infantry brigade, holding the position of platoon commander. "My husband was always a patriot of his state. Until his last breath, together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended our territorial integrity, giving the most precious thing - his life," said Liudmyla Brovko. Ihor was buried in the local cemetery in the village of Stari Petrivtsi. The officer is survived by his mother, wife, son and sister.
