Ihor O. Kolykhalov

Serviceman Igor Kolyhalov was killed on June 7, 2023, during the liberation from Russian occupants of the village of Novodarivka in the Zaporizhia region. The defender was 50 years old. Igor was from the city of Pervomaisky in the Kharkiv region. He graduated from local school No. 4. Then he obtained the profession of a welder at the Pervomaisky Vocational and Technical School No. 29. He worked as a specialist in the construction company "Zhytlobud-1". During the full-scale Russian invasion, in January 2023, the man joined the ranks of the defenders of Ukraine. He served in the 23rd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a grenade launcher. "I am proud of him, his indomitability and patriotism, and I consider him a true Hero! Eternal memory and honor to all who gave their lives for Ukraine! Glory to all who defend and protect Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!" - wrote the deceased's niece, Elizaveta Klimova. The defender was buried in his hometown. Igor is survived by his mother, brother, son, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.
