Ihor O. Ovadiuk

Ihor Ovaduk, born on March 19, 1990, in the village of Kozlynychi, Kovel district, Volyn region. After completing his general education in his native village, he studied at P.T.U. No. 5 in the city of Kovel. After graduating from the institute, he was drafted into military service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2010, Ihor Ovaduk's parents received a thank-you note from the President of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko, for raising their son honorably. He worked as a shift master in the repair shop of the production unit "Locomotive Depot Kovel" of the Lviv Railways branch. He served as an altar server at the Exaltation of the Cross Church in the village of Kozlynychi for many years. At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was one of the first to be mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was killed on March 7, 2022, near the village of Dmytrivka in the Bucha district of Kyiv region. According to other information, Ihor Ovaduk was killed near the city of Zhytomyr. He was buried on April 10, 2022.
