- Soldier Igor Studenіkіn (call sign Kut) died in the night of August 24, 2022 near the city of Slovyansk in the Donetsk region. He received fatal injuries during a hostile missile attack on a building where Ukrainian military personnel were located. Igor was born in Kaliningrad (Russia). At the age of 2, he moved to Kharkiv with his mother, where he lived his entire life. He studied at Kharkiv secondary school No. 68. Later, he obtained the profession of a car mechanic at the Kharkiv vocational school. His love for cars was not just a hobby, but a true vocation. He borrowed his first car from his uncle as soon as he got his driver's license at the age of 18. The time he spent with his friends in the garage became an important experience of teamwork and unforgettable moments in his life. During his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, his skills were highly appreciated, as he was able to help restore the operation of vehicles and other mechanical equipment. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the man immediately went to the local military commissariat to join the ranks of the defenders of Ukraine. Soon he became the driver of the anti-aircraft machine gun section of the anti-aircraft missile and artillery platoon of the fire support company of the 120th separate battalion of the territorial defense of the 113th brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He made his contribution to the defense of Ukraine and Kharkiv precisely during the period when the military bravely held back the invasion of the occupiers on the outskirts of the city. "Igor will remain in my memory as a brother on whom I could always count. The memory of him will live in my heart forever," said the deceased's brother Dmytro. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of cemetery No. 18 in Kharkiv. Igor is survived by his father Mykhailo, brother Dmytro, wife Yuliia, and daughter Alia.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
