Ihor O. Veretionnyk (Chuzhyi)

Sergeant Igor Veretonnik (call sign Alien) was killed on January 22, 2023, in the village of Novoselyvka Druga in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received a fatal injury as a result of enemy artillery shelling. Igor was 21 years old. He was born in the village of Slout, Sumy region. He graduated from the Hlukhiv Agrotechnical College with a degree in "Mechanization". During the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after General-Ensign Marko Bezruchko, serving as a grenadier. "My brother was brave, courageous, fair, loyal, and positive. The best and most loving man, son, and brother. He had a child who he never got to see or hold. Igor had a lot of plans for his life," his sister Yaroslava wrote. The warrior was buried in his native village. Igor is survived by his parents, wife, daughter, and sister.
