Ihor P. Shevchuk (Patron)

Soldier Ihor Shevchuk (call sign Patron) died on July 25, 2022, at the Kurakhiv hospital from injuries sustained while performing a combat mission near the village of Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region. Exactly a month before that, the warrior turned 33 years old. Ihor was born in the village of Teofipol, Khmelnytskyi Oblast. He stu at a local school. In 2007, he graduated from the Teofipol Professional Lyceum, where he received the profession of a computer typesetter. Three years later, he received the profession of a turner at the Shepetivka Training Center. In 2016, he mastered his third specialty - a welder. In the last years before the war, he worked at the Teofipol Sugar Factory. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought for his native state in the ranks of the 37th Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion "Zaporizhzhia" of the 56th Brigade. "My brother was an extremely kind person and a faithful friend, advisor. He could not stay away during the full-scale invasion. 'I will not wait for the enemy to come to my doorstep,' my brother said, and he went to war as a volunteer. He showed himself to be a brave warrior, saving two comrades from death. Low bow to you, brother! We do not believe that you are not with us, forever in our memory!", - said the older sister of the deceased, Svitlana. The defender was buried in his native village. Ihor left behind his parents, sisters, wife, and son.
