Ihor P. Stasiuk (Dzhoker)

Fighter Igor Stasyuk (call sign Joker) died on August 8, 2023 in the area of the village of Kozachi Lageri in the Kherson region. In the battle with the enemy during the artillery shelling, he lost his right hand, but continued to fight. He died from blood loss. In September, the warrior would have turned 31 years old. Igor was born in the village of Kustin, Rivne region, but lived his whole life in Rivne. He studied there at Lyceum No. 27. Then he entered the local Economic and Technical College, where he obtained the specialty of electromechanics. From a teenage age, he was engaged in sports: powerlifting, combat sambo, mixed martial arts (MMA). He was a candidate for the title of master of sports, winning medals and diplomas. After graduating, he, together with his father and brother, was engaged in entrepreneurial activity. At the beginning of the full-scale war, Igor joined the local volunteers and stood up to defend Ukraine. Later, he held the position of a machine gunner in the 5th Special Purpose Battalion "Lyubarts". "The whole family mourns for Igor. He was the best, kind, generous, with a wonderful heart for us! He always helped and respected everyone! Eternal memory to the hero!" - wrote the deceased's niece Anastasia Marchuk. The defender was buried in his native village of Kustin. At home, Igor was awaited by his wife, two daughters, brother, two sisters, nieces and nephews.
