Ihor R. Braslavskyi

27-year-old junior sergeant Ihor Braslavskyi was killed on March 2, 2022 in the Donetsk region. A group of Ukrainian soldiers was traveling on a combat mission. On the Volodarske - Mariupol highway, they encountered the enemy. In the battle during the shelling, Ihor was killed. Ihor was born and lived in Mariupol, Donetsk region. He graduated from the Classical Private University in Zaporizhzhia, where he obtained a law degree. However, he decided to connect his life with the army. Since 2017, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was interested in jurisprudence and loved to play football. In 2021, the man signed his third contract. He served in the 21st separate motorized infantry battalion "Sarmat" of the 56th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "My husband was a man with a capital letter. Comrades, friends, brothers-in-arms know him as a person who could always be relied upon. Ihor always helped. He was an incredibly kind and sensitive person. He had an incredible sense of humor, which helped him live and look at things differently. He was very much looking forward to the birth of his daughter. He had big plans. But... He saw his daughter only once, when he picked her up from the maternity ward. On March 2, he went to Mariupol on a mission. He did not give up hope that he would see his daughter and protect her from the hell that was already in his hometown. He was driving with thoughts of how he would hug her to himself, such a small copy of himself," said the wife of the deceased Valeria. Ihor is survived by his mother, wife and daughter.
