Ihor R. Kuznietsov (Kuzniets)

Kuznietsov Ihor Ruslovych was born on December 12, 1991 in Verkhnodniprovsk, Dnipropetrovsk region. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) in Eastern Ukraine since 2014, particularly in the battles for the village of Pisky and the city of Avdiivka. Initially, he was part of a volunteer battalion, then he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the end of 2021, he obtained the qualification of a drone operator and became a paratrooper. Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was at the forefront. He held the military position of the commander of the drone aviation unit platoon. He took part in battles in the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions. He was killed on July 13, 2022 during an artillery barrage near the city of Siversk in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region. The farewell ceremony and memorial service for the fallen took place on July 18, 2022 near the House of Culture in Verkhnodniprovsk, Kamianske district, Dnipropetrovsk region. The fallen was buried in the village of Rubanivske, Vasylkivskyi district, Dnipropetrovsk region, on the territory of the Holy Protection Church.
