Ihor R. Nazarkevych

Senior Soldier Ihor Nazarkevych passed away on March 9, 2022, in Dnipro Military Hospital. The day before, the fighter sustained severe injuries in a battle with occupiers near the city of Popasna in Luhansk region. The defender was 49 years old forever. Ihor was born in the village of Mezhyricha, Lviv region. He lived in the city of Chervonohrad. He stu at Chervonohrad Comprehensive School No. 9. He worked in various fields. He was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. In 2015, he took part in the ATO in Donbas. When the full-scale war began, the man again took up the defense of his native country from the enemy. He was assigned to serve in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel. He took the position of driver-electrician of the mortar battery and went to defend Luhansk region. "My father was very kind, always helped and supported. He was brave, cheerful, never let spirits drop. When Maidan began, he immediately went to Kyiv. In 2015, he took part in the ATO. When the full-scale war began, he packed his things and went to the military enlistment office. His last words were: "Take care of yourselves." We miss him very much and love him very much. We miss him," said the daughter of the deceased. The warrior was buried in the village of Khylchytsi, Lviv region. Ihor was survived by his mother, Irina Mykolaivna, wife Halyna, son Roman, daughter Tetiana-Maria, friends, and comrades.
