- Born on August 3, 1995, in the village of Bilychi, Starosambir district, Lviv region. In 2010, he graduated from the 9th grade of the general education school in the village of Bilychi, Starosambir district, and in 2013, he graduated from the Dobromyl Professional Lyceum (in the city of Dobromyl, Starosambir district) and obtained the profession of "painter, plasterer." From May 14, 2014, he served under contract in the 703rd Engineering Vinnytsia Red Banner and Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Order of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A3817, city of Sambir, Lviv region). From July 29, 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 31, 2014, soldier Shubak was carrying out a combat mission to establish a minefield as part of a barrier group using two Ural-4320 and KAMAZ-4310 trucks in the area of the village of Shevchenko, Volodarsky district (now Nikolske) of Donetsk region. Around 16:30, while at the mine-laying line, the ammunition (about 200 TM-62P4 anti-tank mines with MVП-62M fuses) of the KAMAZ vehicle detonated, which occurred as a result of the container with mines being hit by a grenade launcher shot or an armor-piercing incendiary bullet fired by an unknown person. As a result of the explosion, soldier Shubak, who was in the KAMAZ-4310 truck, was killed. Also killed were Lieutenant Colonel Susky, soldier Brzostowski, soldier Maletsky, soldier Doroshenko, and soldier Strus. After the explosion, the body of Ihor Shubak was not found.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
