Biography
Dashko Ihor Tarasovych was born on June 18, 1977, in the city of Sambir, Lviv region. He studied at Sambir Secondary School No. 1 named after T. G. Shevchenko, which he graduated from in 1994. He received an education in the specialty of "Philology" at the Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. After completing his studies in 1999, he began service in the city of Mariupol, at the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Later, he graduated from the Priazovsky State Technical University with a degree in "Intellectual Property". From the summer of 2012 to January 2022, he served in the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Later, he held the position of deputy head of the department of criminal analysis and information-analytical support of the 1st border detachment of the Eastern Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. He carried out combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. A month before the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was transferred again to the city of Mariupol. On April 9, 2022, he blew himself up at a radio station in Mariupol so that it would not fall into the hands of the Russian invaders. His last words on the air were "Glory to Ukraine!" He was buried on June 21, 2023, at the Lychakiv Cemetery in the city of Lviv.Burial place
