- Senior soldier Ihor Borysov (call sign Odesa) was killed on November 17, 2022 while performing a combat mission near the village of Yakovlivka in the Donetsk region. The defender received fatal injuries as a result of enemy artillery shelling. The warrior was 48 years old. Ihor was born in the village of Oleksandrivka, Odesa region. After finishing an 8-year school, he entered the Odesa Technical School of Communications. He did not complete his studies, as he was drafted for military service. After demobilization, he worked at various jobs. He mastered welding on his own and loved making forged products. He lived with his family in Ivano-Frankivsk region, in the village of Smodna. He loved working in the garden, planting fruit trees and grapes. He went fishing and mushroom picking with his children. On the second day of the full-scale war, on February 25, 2022, Ihor was mobilized into the ranks of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of senior rifleman. "Ihor was a beloved and loving husband and father. He did everything in the house himself, without looking for any construction workers. He had many friends. On February 25, he was called up for service. And since then he has not been at home. He lived with the hope that victory would come soon. He hoped that he would be given a vacation. But it was not to be," the widow of the deceased said. "Eternal memory to you, Ihor. You will forever be a hero in our memory. May the earth be soft for you," wrote Ihor's acquaintance Ivan. The serviceman was buried in the Alley of Glory cemetery in the village of Staryi Kosiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region. At home, Ihor was awaited by his wife Olha and three sons: Bohdan, Andrii, and Viktor.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
