- Sergeant Igor Damrin (call sign Sula) was killed on March 27, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Urozhaine in the Donetsk region. Early in the morning, Russian troops began shelling the position of the Ukrainian defenders with tanks. One of the shells hit the observation post where Igor was located: the post was destroyed, and the man suffered fatal injuries. The defender was forever 35 years old. Igor was born in the city of Zavodske in the Poltava region. He studied at Chervonozavodska School No. 2. In 2006, he graduated from the local vocational school No. 32, where he mastered the profession of a carpenter. He worked in the Kyiv region. He spent his free time with his family and loved ones. Since March 2022, the man has been defending the Motherland from the Russian invaders. He fought in the ranks of the 12th separate battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine. During his service, Igor was awarded the badge "For Loyalty to the People of Ukraine" of the II degree, and posthumously - the Order of Courage of the III degree. "There are very few such good and bright people in the world. Devoted to his military comrades-in-arms. He proudly wore a chevron that was like a slogan: 'It doesn't matter who is in front. What matters is who is by your side.' Forever in the heart! Deep, large blue eyes, like the ocean, there are no more such in the world," wrote the defender's wife Tetyana. Igor was buried in his hometown of Zavodske in the Poltava region. He is survived by his wife and sister.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
