Biography
Kalin Ihor Vasylovych was born on April 8, 1988, in the city of Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He studied at secondary school No. 7. Later, he enrolled in vocational school No. 14 and mastered the profession of a carpenter. After graduating from the school, he continued his education at the Lviv National Agrarian University, where he obtained the profession of a civil engineer in 2010. That same year, he met his future wife. Three years later, they started a family, and a year later, their firstborn was born. In 2014, he wanted to join the ranks of the Azov regiment. From 2014 to 2018, he served in the Ivano-Frankivsk volunteer police battalion, carrying out tasks in Mariupol and nearby villages. He then worked abroad for some time. Only from 2020 he was at home with his family. He worked as a welder at a private enterprise. In January 2022, Igor's family expanded with the birth of a younger son. He went to the front in the first days of the full-scale war. He served as a scout as part of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss". He defended Kyiv and Donetsk regions. Since May 22, 2022, he has been fighting in the Donetsk region. During one of the assaults, he and his comrades-in-arms captured 12 "Wagnerites". He died on October 28, 2022. A fragment of a Russian anti-tank guided missile flew under his bulletproof vest and hit his heart. He was a full cavalier of the Order of Courage of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees.Burial place
