Ihor V. Misnikov (Lieshyi)

Senior soldier Ihor Misnikov (call sign Leshyi) was killed on September 20, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Klynovе in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 28 years old. Ihor was born in the village of Liplyave, Cherkasy region. He studied at the Lubny Forestry Technical College, specializing in "Forestry." He then graduated from the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, obtaining a degree as a forestry master. During the full-scale Russian invasion, he fought against the occupiers as part of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. He was an operator of unmanned aerial systems in the reconnaissance platoon. "A loving father, a caring son, a true patriot, a fair, kind, and compassionate friend. This is how he will be remembered forever. Words cannot heal the painful wound of loss in the heart, as the death of the closest person is a great trial. We share the grief of the hero's family and bow our heads in deep sorrow together. We will never forgive or forget the death of each of our defenders. Ihor Misnikov is our Hero, and his memory is eternal! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!" — stated in the Liplyave community. The hero was buried in his native village. At home, Ihor was awaited by his parents, brother, and daughter.
