Ihor V. Movchan (Malysh)

26-year-old Sergeant Igor Movchan (call sign Malish) was killed on November 26, 2022, in battle with the occupiers in the area of the village of Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region. An enemy artillery shell hit the dugout where the defender was located. Igor was born in the village of Avdiivka, Chernihiv region. He stuwas killed at the local secondary school. Then he entered the National Technical University "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky" with a specialty in "Electronic Systems". He served his military service. He lived in the capital. He worked as a production repair engineer at the "Ajax" company. He was passionate about electronics and history. He loved to draw. He stuwas killed English. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Igor joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a mechanic-signalman in the 56th separate motorized infantry brigade. "Igor was an extraordinary person, very intelligent, positive, with principles that he always adhered to. He will forever remain the love of my life, my closest friend, and a true hero. Rest in peace, I will not let you down," said the deceased's beloved girlfriend Iryna. "He defended his country, his people, his land. Profound bow and gratitude to Igor. He will forever remain in our memory as a sincere, talented, smiling young man. We express our condolences to the family and loved ones, we mourn with you and understand that for you this is an immense grief, inconsolable despair, a great trial. May God help you to bear this heavy loss," wrote Natalia Katrenko, a teacher at the Avdiivka school. The defender was buried in his native village. Igor is survived by his parents, grandmother, brother, nephew, and girlfriend.
