Ihor V. Nakonechnyi (Elvis)

Junior Sergeant Ihor Nakonechnyi was killed in action on July 7, 2022, near the village of Novomykolaivka in the Mykolaiv region. While performing a combat mission, the defender received fatal injuries during an enemy artillery shelling. The fighter was only 35 years old. Ihor was from the village of Demidivka, Vinnytsia region. He stu at a local comprehensive school. In 2006-2007, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Then he entered the Volyn School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Until 2013, he worked in the Trostianetskyi district department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Then he worked at the enterprise MHP. In 2014-2015, he took part in the ATO. After his return, he worked for the company GIPS. He lived with his family in the village of Velyka Stratiivka, Vinnytsia region. On the second day of the full-scale Russian invasion, on February 25, 2022, the man again took up arms, replenishing the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 10th separate battalion Polissia of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakov Gandziuk. Igor was an extraordinary, kind person, had golden hands, loved our family gatherings on holidays at his parents. He was a good friend and a great master. He dreamed of his own house, which he never managed to build, he dreamed of a daughter, whom he did not have time to give birth to. He was a great brother and husband, always came to the rescue. He loved life very much, said his sister Iryna Shakhbun. The warrior was buried in his native village in the Vinnytsia region. Ihor left behind his parents, two younger sisters, two younger brothers, his wife, and his grandmother. Posthumously, the hero was awarded the Order For Courage of the III degree.
