Ihor V. Redun (RED)

Master Sergeant Igor Redun (call sign Red) was killed on April 29, 2024, while performing his duties near the village of Novodarivka, Zaporizhia region. In two weeks, on May 13, the defender would have turned 32 years old. Igor was born in the city of Hlukhiv, Sumy region. He lived in Kharkiv. He graduated from the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. In 2014-2020, he participated in the Russian-Ukrainian war, fought in the ATO / JFO in the ranks of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Then he resigned. Since 2020, he has been working in the IT field. When the full-scale war began, the man returned to the ranks of the defenders again. He served in the 127th separate brigade of the territorial defense. He was the senior combat medic of the 228th battalion. For his service, Igor Redun received the following awards: "For the liberation of the Kharkiv region", "For the defense of the hero city of Kharkiv", "For the defense of Bakhmut", "Golden Cross", "For participation in the anti-terrorist operation", "Honorary award of the 127th separate brigade of territorial defense" of the III and II degrees and the Order of Courage of the III degree. "He was an angel on this earth, and now he is an angel in heaven... One in a million..." - wrote the wife of the fallen Anastasia. The warrior was buried in cemetery No. 18 in Kharkiv. Igor is survived by his parents, wife, sister, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.
