- Staff Sergeant Ihor Rubtsov (call sign Scar) was killed on May 6, 2023 near the village of Prechystivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he suffered a fatal mine-explosive injury. The warrior was 50 years old. Ihor was born in Russia. After some time, the family moved to live in Ukraine, in the Rivne region. He received secondary education. In 1994 he got married, since then he served in a military unit in the city of Merefa, Kharkiv region, where he received the rank of warrant officer and was the company sergeant. In 1999, he was transferred to the Rivne region, to the village of Horodyshche, where he served in the ranks of the State Emergency Service. Later he resigned and worked in construction, being a specialist in laying. In 2016-2018, he took part in the ATO / JFO. He was interested in history, loved watching historical documentaries, and also read a lot of literature on military topics. When the full-scale invasion began, without waiting for the summons, he voluntarily went to the military enlistment office one day together with his elder son. Together they stood up to defend Ukraine. Ihor served in the 68th separate rifle brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the senior sergeant of the reserve of the 44th reserve company. "Ihor loved his two sons very much, and never raised his voice to them during his lifetime. He was a beloved husband and loving father, had a very good heart and golden hands," said the wife of the fallen soldier, Tetyana. Ihor was buried in the Alley of Glory of the "Nove" cemetery in Rivne. Ihor is survived by his wife Tetyana, sons Pavlo and Artem.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
