Ihor V. Salii

Igor Volodymyrovych Saliy was born on July 24, 1995, in the city of Kostopil in the Rivne region. In 2012, he graduated from general secondary school I–III degrees No. 4 in his hometown. He served in the military as part of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade. He was killed on February 28, 2022, in the early days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, while performing his military duty in Mykolaiv Oblast. Farewell to the fallen soldier took place a month after his death — on March 28, 2022, at the Cathedral of Peter and Paul, and then at Shevchenko Square in the city of Kostopil. He was buried at the "Nove" cemetery in his hometown.
