Ihor Ya. Kikhtiak

Ihor Yaroslavovych Kikhtyak was born on February 2, 1971, in the village of Hrushev, Drohobych district, Lviv region. After graduating from the general education school in his native village, he obtained the profession of carpenter at Vocational School No. 19 in Drohobych. He then served in the military as part of the missile troops in Turkmenistan. Later, he worked for nearly 12 years in the Czech Republic before returning to his native Drohobych region. With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was mobilized again and served on the front lines. He was killed on March 24, 2022, in battles for the city of Popasna in the Luhansk region. The burial ceremony took place on April 2, 2022, in the village of Tyniv, Drohobych district.
