Ihor Yu. Bohatyriov (Horynych)

Combat medic Igor Bogatyrev (call sign Gorynych) was killed on October 2, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Torske in the Donetsk region. The warrior turned 24 years old in September. Igor was born in the village of Kivsharivka, Kharkiv region. He graduated from the Kharkiv Higher Professional Mechanical and Technological College, obtaining the profession of cashier and computer typist. He loved to play football, volleyball, and tennis. He was engaged in boxing. He was passionate about fishing. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the 134th separate battalion of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he carried out combat missions on the front line. "Igor was a very bright person, he always smiled and helped everyone. He never left anyone in trouble, always supported, gave wise advice, loved and valued his life very much. Hard-working, brave, funny, smart, handsome," said the sister of the fallen. The serviceman was buried in the village of Borivske in the Kharkiv region. Igor is survived by his mother Vita and sister Veronika.
