Biography
Inna Mykolayivna Derusova was born on July 5, 1970, in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. She graduated from the Ternopil National Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Hnatiuk. After graduating from university, she worked as a medic. In 2013, she participated in the Revolution of Dignity on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, rescuing injured people from sniper fire. She is a participant in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). Inna Derusova joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2015. After training as a combat medic as part of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Ivan Vyhovsky, she carried out missions in the areas of the settlements of Zolote, Horikhove, Verkhnotoretske, Avdiivka, Krymske, Toretske, and Pisky. On December 12, 2021, on the occasion of Ukraine's Ground Forces Day, Inna Derusova was awarded the "Defender of the Fatherland" medal for personal courage and selflessness. Since February 24, 2022, Senior Combat Medic Inna Derusova participated in the battles for the city of Okhtyrka in the Sumy region. She saved over 10 servicemen, risking her own life. She was killed on February 26, 2022, during an artillery shelling while providing assistance to injured soldiers. Inna is survived by her mother and son, who is also defending Ukraine. On May 13, 2022, Inna Derusova was buried in the Alley of Glory at the Central Cemetery in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region.Burial place
