Iraklii E. Kovalevskyi

Kovalyevskyi Iraklii Eduardovych was born on September 29, 1992, in Donetsk. After graduating from school in 2007, he entered the Donetsk Lyceum with enhanced military-physical training. In 2009, he enrolled in the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Ground Forces Academy. In 2013, he was assigned to military service at military unit A0669 in Kerch. From June 21, 2013, to March 18, 2015, he held the position of intelligence chief and was the commander of the reconnaissance platoon of military unit A0669. From March 18, 2015, to December 29, 2016, he served as the commander of the airborne assault company and the commander of the marine corps company of military unit A1965. From December 29, 2016, to June 21, 2018, he held the position of deputy commander of the battalion for airborne training and head of the parachute service department. He participated in international military exercises involving the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including Noble Partner-2017 in Georgia, as well as joint exercises with NATO forces in Romania and Italy. During the Russo-Ukrainian War, he was the head of the rescue parachute group of special purpose military unit A1134 in Vinnytsia. He was killed during an enemy missile attack on the Vinnytsia airport in the village of Havyshivka.
