- Ivan Dumych (call sign Dum), a scout, was killed on December 6, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. He was 27 years old. Ivan was born in the village of Stara Sil in the Lviv region. After school, he obtained a law degree at the Oleksandriia Industrial College. Then he moved to the Dnipropetrovsk region and settled in the city of Piatykhatky. He worked as a private security guard. In his free time, he loved to assemble furniture, walk in his garden near the trees and his beloved roses. At the end of the summer of 2022, Ivan joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the reconnaissance battalion "Skala". He was a grenadier. "Vanya was kind, sensitive, responsible, attentive, caring, fair, and had a good sense of humor. At the end of November 2022, we had a wonderful son - a copy of his father. Vanya took me and the child from the maternity hospital, spent two days at home, and then was called back to Bakhmut. And 5 days later he was killed... He very much dreamed of a daughter Sofiya, wanted the whole family to go on vacation to Bukovel, but... He was a loving husband and father... We were behind him like a stone wall. He was ready to do anything for the family. He always said that 'you are my wings, you are my everything... I am the happiest man because I was lucky with my wife.' When he left home on December 1, he said he was afraid of only one thing - never seeing us again..." said the defender's wife Victoria. "Ivan Dumych was a courageous defender, a fearless warrior, a great patriot of Ukraine," said the Kamyanske administration. Ivan was buried in the Alley of Glory of the central cemetery in Piatykhatky. He is survived by his mother, wife, and young son.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
