Ivan D. Slivka (Sliva)

42-year-old soldier Ivan Slivka (call sign Sliva) was killed on December 17, 2022 near the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. During the performance of a combat mission, the fighter came under enemy artillery fire and received fatal injuries. Ivan was born in the city of Rovenky, Luhansk region. He obtained the specialty of a sailor-methodologist at the Odesa Maritime College. He was engaged in the manufacture of tarpaulin products. He was fond of sports, was a candidate master of sports in boxing. He loved to travel. He was married. He lived with his family in Kharkiv. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a fighter of the 81st separate airmobile brigade. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended his native country at the forefront. "My husband was very kind and sensitive. He dreamed of being the happiest," said his wife Yulia. The defender was buried in Kharkiv. Ivan is survived by his wife and child.
