Ivan H. Strykun

Born on August 13, 1967, in the village of Novomalin, Ostroh district, Rivne region. Graduated from the secondary school of the village of Novomalin. Served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the USSR as a conscript, junior sergeant. Since 1990, he lived in the village of Mykhalkivtsi, Ostroh district, Rivne region. Worked as a driver in the collective farm "Iskra" of the village of Mykhalkivtsi. After the reorganization of the collective farm, he went to work abroad. On March 12, 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a senior driver of staff vehicles in the 93rd separate mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302, field post V2830 - urban-type settlement Cherkaské, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region). From May 19, 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On June 29, 2015, junior sergeant Strykun died of heart failure on the way to the hospital in the city of Novohrodivka, Donetsk region. On July 3, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Mykhalkivtsi, Ostroh district, Rivne region.
