Ivan I. Poliukhovych

Junior Sergeant Ivan Polyukhovych was killed on October 28, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Chervonopopivka in the Luhansk region. The warrior was 38 years old. Ivan was born in the village of Solomyr in the Rivne region into a large family. He received a secondary education and mostly worked in construction. He enjoyed this work and had a knack for it. He lived with his family in the village of Zarichne. During the full-scale war, Ivan was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 25th Separate Airborne Assault Sich Brigade, holding the position of sniper. "Ivan was a very kind person. He had a talent for construction, but when he was called to defend the Motherland, he went without hesitation. He loved his family very much, cared for us, and was the best husband and father. Our love was of great value to him... He had two little sons, whom he loved to sing lullabies to, and later play football with. He dreamed of teaching his sons everything he knew, but it was not meant to be... We miss him very much and will never forget our Hero!" said the wife of the fallen warrior, Liliya. Ivan was buried in the settlement of Zarichne. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
