Ivan I. Sidun

Soldier Ivan Sidun was killed on July 15, 2023, in the Kharkiv military hospital. While carrying out a combat mission in the Luhansk region, the soldier sustained serious injuries. He would have turned 28 years old exactly a month later. Ivan was born in the village of Znyatsovo, Zakarpattia region. He graduated from the local school. After that, he immediately went to work. He met his love. Later, the couple moved to the hometown of the girl - to the city of Nizhyn, Chernihiv region. In 2016, they got married, and a year later the couple had a son. During the full-scale Russian invasion, in April 2023, the man was mobilized into the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 25th separate airborne Sich brigade. "He was a loving husband, a caring father, son and brother," the community noted. The defender was buried on the Alley of Glory in Nizhyn. Ivan is survived by his wife Alina, son Maksym, relatives and friends.
