Ivan I. Zmyslyi

Serviceman Ivan Zmysly was killed on February 12, 2023 in battle with the occupiers near Kreminna in the Luhansk region. The warrior was 30 years old. Ivan was born in the city of Severodonetsk, Luhansk region. He graduated from local school No. 11. He lived and worked in his hometown. When the full-scale invasion began, Ivan and his family were forced to leave Severodonetsk. They settled in the Lviv region. Then Ivan, together with his brother, joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and set out to liberate his home. However, he did not live to see the victory. "It is impossible to find words that would help the family and the mother of the hero to overcome the pain and despair... We thank you for raising a true courageous man, a warrior, a defender. For standing up for our defense at the cost of his own life. Heroes do not die, they remain in our hearts forever. Eternal memory and glory to the Ukrainian warrior who defended the Motherland and each of us! May the Lord grant the Heavenly Kingdom and eternal rest to his soul!" - wrote in the Zabolottsivska village council. "The heart of a decent, kind, honest person, a gentle son and a reliable friend has stopped beating. It is difficult to hold back tears for everyone who knew Ivan. He gave his life for our happy future, for a free Ukraine. Light clouds to you, Hero! Heroes do not die! Glory to the Heroes!" - noted at Severodonetsk school No. 11. The serviceman was buried in the village of Zabolottsi in the Lviv region. Ivan is survived by his mother Iryna and brother Volodymyr.
