Ivan M. Berezhnyk (Dyrektor)

Berezhnick Ivan Mykolayovych (call sign Director) was born on July 22, 1976, in the town of Dubove, Tyachiv district, Zakarpattia region. Since 2015, he served in the special police regiment "Kyiv" and was always on the front line, defending our country from the enemy. According to a friend and comrade with the call sign Owl, Ivan was a wonderful person, loved his work, and was very responsible: "He was a practical person, a good host, someone you could consult with. His call sign was quite fitting — Director. We lost a comrade, a true Cossack, a sincere Ukrainian. I and the guys will miss him very much. Unfortunately, the price of our freedom is the blood of the best sons of Ukraine, it is our payment for the future. Each of us is ready to give our life for our independence…". Ivan Berezhnick was never afraid of difficulties and danger. He was always ready to help, listen, and support. "We met Ivan at the end of 2015. We started our service together in the special police regiment "Kyiv" and headed to combat missions in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. At the beginning of the full-scale war, we were deployed to the city of Avdiivka, where we held the defense of the city. Ivan was a true patriot of his country and will forever remain in the memory of our unit," says Ivan's colleague with the call sign Agronom. "We will definitely win and fulfill the dream of our fallen comrades who gave their lives for the future of our state. Eternal memory to the Hero!". Ivan Berezhnick was killed on June 25, 2022, in the city of Avdiivka, Donetsk region.
