- Sapper Ivan Klevets (call sign Foreman) was killed on November 9, 2022 near the village of Kuzemivka in the Luhansk region. During the enemy mortar shelling, he returned to the dangerous place to save a comrade, hoping that he was still alive. Ivan's leg was torn off, he applied a tourniquet. But the enemy was very close. The soldier fired back until the ammunition ran out. The second wound in the shoulder was fatal. In December, the warrior would have turned 45 years old. Ivan was born in the village of Repynne in Zakarpattia. From the age of 12, he lived with his family in the village of Piddubne, Kirovohrad region. He studied at the Chornoliska Forestry School. Then he graduated from the Central Ukrainian National Technical University in Kropyvnytskyi, where he studied at the Institute of Agricultural Engineering. For some time he worked as a forester, but then became a builder. He built his own house and did the repairs himself. During the full-scale war, the man went to defend the Motherland. He served in the 48th Engineer-Sapper Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He carried out complex combat missions. He was awarded the "Steel Cross" medal. "My brother was always fair. He never raised his voice, he could very calmly convince a person. He always spoke only Ukrainian, because it was shameful not to know the language of the country in which you live. He was always cheerful, he loved to joke," said Maria Krasaniuk. The serviceman was buried in the village of Piddubne, Kirovohrad region. Ivan is survived by his mother, sister, wife and two sons.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
