Biography
Ivan Oleksandrovych Bidnyak was born on October 1, 1985, in the city of Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region. In 2003, he graduated from the Lviv State College of Physical Culture (small-bore rifle shooting department) and returned to the city of Dnipropetrovsk. At the international tournament 26 ISAS, held in Dortmund, Germany, he took second place in small-bore pistol shooting (event MP-6). In March 2010, at the European Shooting Championships in Meraaker, Norway, as part of the team, he won a silver medal in 10-meter air pistol shooting (event PP-3). In 2010, he became the eighth among the best athletes of the Dnipropetrovsk region (3 bronze medals of the European Shooting Championships). In 2012, at the 50th World Shooting Championships in the PP-3 event, he took 7th place and won the first Olympic quota place for Ukraine for the 2012 Olympics. In May 2013, at the 44th Liberation Grand Prix, a shooting competition, he won the MP-8 event (rapid-fire pistol) and won a silver medal in the MP-10 event (standard pistol). In the summer of 2013, at the European Shooting Championships, he won a silver medal in 25-meter small-bore rifle shooting. In February 2022, at the beginning of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, he returned from abroad, where he was working, and volunteered to go to the front. He fought in the Kherson region. On April 20, 2022, he was killed by enemy fire while performing a combat mission.Burial place
