- Senior soldier Ivan Liukh was killed in a fierce battle with the occupants on March 5, 2023, near the settlement of Spirne in the Donetsk region. The warrior remained 32 years old forever. Ivan was born in the village of Pylypivka, Zhytomyr region. In 2007, he graduated from the 11th grade of the Pyatkivska secondary school. Then he mastered the profession of a carpenter at the Zhytomyr Vocational and Technical School. After graduation, he worked in his specialty at various enterprises both in Ukraine and abroad. He had just returned from Sweden before the full-scale invasion. In the first days of the war, the man voluntarily expressed a desire to go serve, but at the military enlistment office, due to the lack of military experience, he was told to wait. However, Ivan was able to be useful even in the rear. He took an active part in ensuring public order on the territory of his native and neighboring villages, helped his fellow villagers who were already in the army with his own funds. And on July 27, 2022, he joined them himself, becoming a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent training abroad and, as part of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade, went to the front line. "Vanya was cheerful, cheerful, sociable, and had a good sense of humor. He loved life and wanted to do a lot, but his life was cut short too early, not allowing his dreams to come true," said his friend Natalia Derevytska. Ivan was buried in his native village of Pylypivka. He left behind a mother, sister, nephew, relatives, close ones, friends and comrades-in-arms. The military was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
