- Sergeant Ivan Feseniuk (call sign Bonus) died on March 13, 2024 near the village of Orlivka in the Donetsk region. While rescuing a wounded comrade, the soldier himself sustained fatal injuries. The defender was 30 years old. Ivan was born in Kyiv. He graduated from the Faculty of Instrumentation Engineering at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Later, he obtained a master's degree from the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Health at the Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav. He was passionate about football and an active member of the FC Dynamo (Kyiv) fan movement. Since his school years, he practiced kickboxing, becoming a university champion and later a Kyiv kickboxing champion among students. From 2016 to 2019, he was a medalist in numerous professional sports competitions. Since 2014, he served in the ranks of the National Corps "Azov". From 2016, he was a martial arts and combat sports trainer. The following year, he founded his own sports club "BonusTeam". In October 2019, he won two gold and one bronze medal at the WKA Kickboxing World Championship, and his students took first place in the team competition. He earned the title of Master of Sports in International Class Kickboxing. Together with his friends, he created the "Capitals" company, where he nurtured patriotic youth. Even before the full-scale invasion, Ivan joined the NGO "Centuria" as a kickboxing trainer. Later, he became the commander of the "Black Hundred" platoon. The leadership of the National Corps "Azov" highly appreciated Ivan's qualities: "He conducts training at a high level, demonstrating excellent pedagogical and professional abilities, passing on to his students the skills of combat, teaching them discipline, focus, adherence to rules and tactics during training and in battle. During his work in the National Corps "Azov", Ivan Feseniuk has proven himself to be a responsible, decisive person, setting an example of dedication in sports, a successful athlete and coach, with excellent organizational skills, leadership qualities, logical thinking, and the ability to share his knowledge and experience." From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ivan, together with his comrades and students, joined the Territorial Defense Forces "Azov". He participated in the defense of Kyiv. Later, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and fought as part of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade. For his conscientious service, in September 2022, he was appointed commander of the commandant's platoon. He took part in battles in the Zaporizhzhia direction, in the battles for Bakhmut and Avdiivka. His subordinates and comrades-in-arms spoke of Ivan as a fair, competent, principled, and professional commander. In 2023, the fighter received the awards "For Indomitable Spirit" and "Golden Cross". The warrior was buried at the Berkovetskyi Cemetery in Kyiv. He left behind three brothers, two sisters, and a beloved one. His mother died 5 months after Ivan's death.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
