Ivan P. Tomchuk

Senior soldier Ivan Tomchuk (call sign Dog) died on May 24, 2024 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Novoyegorivka, Kharkiv region. The defender was 25 years old. Ivan was born in the village of Lypne, Zhytomyr region. He obtained the profession of a cook at the Vinnytsia Center for Vocational Education of the Processing Industry. He worked in a fish restaurant. He was fond of sports, in particular martial arts. During the full-scale invasion, he held the position of a shooter-sniper in the 3rd separate assault brigade. "My husband was loving, caring, the best in the world, he always came to help, he could not leave anyone in trouble. His dream was to buy his own home and start his own business, but it didn't happen that way, and he voluntarily went to defend his Motherland, because he was a patriot of his country," said his wife Lilia. The defender was buried in his native village. Ivan is survived by his wife, son, parents, brother and sister.
