Ivan R. Bezzub

Ivan Romanovych Bezzub was born on July 7, 1995, in the city of Staroostyantyniv, Khmelnytskyi region. In 2017, he graduated from the Kharkiv National University of Air Force named after Ivan Kozhedub and was assigned to the position of flight operator in the 16th Army Aviation Brigade. He participated in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO). He had experience in peacekeeping activities as part of the 18th separate helicopter squadron of the UN stabilization mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo. On March 8, 2022, a Mi-24 helicopter was shot down by Russians near the village of Kulaizhyntsi in the Brovary district of Kyiv region, resulting in Major Bezzub's death. On March 11, 2022, a farewell ceremony for Ivan Bezzub took place in Lviv region. He was buried on March 12 in the city of Staroostyantyniv, Khmelnytskyi region. He is survived by his wife and two children.
