Ivan S. Potipko

Soldier Ivan Potipko was killed on July 10, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. On October 4, the warrior would have turned 30 years old. Ivan was born in the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. He spent his childhood in the village of Rannii Ranok, studied at the Geikivska secondary school. Then he graduated from the Synelnykivske vocational school, obtained the profession of a turner. He lived in Dnipro. He was engaged in repair and construction work. In June 2023, he got married. The couple was expecting their firstborn. During the full-scale Russian invasion, in March 2023, the man joined the ranks of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the grenade launcher platoon of the fire support company of the 79th separate airborne assault brigade. He took part in the defense of the Donetsk region. "He was a unique person who carried an entire universe within him. In him, a great strength, power, and a sincere good heart were mysteriously combined. He was very determined and saw no obstacles before his goal. He could help a loved one, even if it would be worse for himself. And he was also cheerful, cheerful and never gave up," said the wife of the fallen warrior Oleksandra. The paratrooper was buried in the village of Rannii Ranok in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Ivan is survived by his mother, two brothers, a pregnant wife, many loving relatives and friends, and comrades-in-arms.
