- 29-year-old soldier Ivan Sukhoverskyy (call sign Vano) died on August 23, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhia region. During enemy mortar shelling, he sustained a fatal shrapnel wound to the head. Ivan was from the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. He lived in the village of Vershyna Druga in the Zaporizhia region. He graduated from the Kuibyshev Professional Agrarian Lyceum. He was a driver-tractor operator by profession, able to work on all agricultural machinery, and well-versed in construction. He had worked abroad. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his homeland. He served in the 25th Assault Battalion of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Magura". "My brother was a very kind, caring, and sincere person, always ready to help. Our little sun... Whatever he took on, he succeeded, a master of his craft. At the service, he was a driver-excavator operator and a sapper. He repeatedly evacuated his wounded comrades from the battlefield and actively participated in demining. A very bright person, always helping everyone - you didn't have to ask him. His comrades-in-arms constantly said that there are no people like our Vanya," said Alina Sukhoverskaya. The warrior was buried in the St. Nicholas Cemetery in Zaporizhia. Ivan is survived by his parents, two brothers, a sister, and a niece.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
