Ivan V. Bevzenko

Bevzenko Ivan Valentynovych was born on December 10, 1998, in the village of Matviyivka in the Cherkasy region. He lived in the village of Ratseve in the Cherkasy district. In 2019, he joined the ranks of the airborne assault troops. He carried out tasks to protect the state sovereignty and political independence, to preserve territorial integrity and inviolability of borders in the Joint Forces Operation zone. In 2021, for impeccable performance of his duties and high military professionalism, he received an award from the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, designated for honoring the best servicemen of the airborne assault troops. During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he performed tasks as part of a reconnaissance platoon and held the position of squad commander in the 80th Air Assault Brigade. He was killed on February 26, 2022, during enemy artillery shelling near the city of Nova Kakhovka, in the area of Shylova Balka. He is buried in the village of Matviyivka, Cherkasy region.
