Ivan V. Mizerniuk (Zill)

Soldier Ivan Mizeriuk (call sign Zill) was killed in actionon June 18, 2022, near the village of Komyshuvakha in Luhansk Oblast. During the performance of a combat mission, he received a fatal injury. The warrior was 35 years old. Ivan Mizeriuk was born in the city of Zvyagel, Zhytomyr Oblast. He graduated from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics and moved to the capital to live. In Kyiv, he sold drones in the online store "Fly Technology". He confidently moved up the career ladder. The man loved his life and friends very much, to whom he treated with great respect and considered them family members. Ivan's mother raised him and his sister Katerina alone, as his father early from oncology. Therefore, already in his teenage years, Ivan took responsibility and provided for the family. On February 24, 2022, he voluntarily decided to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He came to the checkpoint, which was located near his rented apartment in Kyiv, for weeks. They didn't want to take him, but eventually, the commander gave his consent to accept the persistent guy. So Ivan became a fighter of the 244th battalion of the 112th separate brigade of territorial defense. He held the position of a shooter-assistant grenade launcher. He took part in the defense of Kyiv, and later went to the Eastern direction of the front. "Brother, you so wanted to live, love, build your future, but... We believed, hoped, prayed, but... The scorching pain, devastation, grief, how to accept this harsh reality?! I believe that God has prepared a blessed eternal life for you. My blood, rest in peace! People, remember your Heroes. They gave their lives so that we could live in peace, so that we would have a future. God, rest the bright and kind soul! We love, remember, and mourn without you!", wrote Katerina Mizeriuk. The defender was buried in the village of Hirky, Zhytomyr Oblast. Ivan left behind his mother and sister. Posthumously, he was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Zvyagel" and awarded the medal "For Merits to the Zvyagel District".
