Ivan V. Musiichuk

Senior soldier Ivan Musiichuk was killed on August 2, 2023, while defending the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region. A direct hit by an enemy shell on the tank ended the warrior's life. He would have turned 25 on August 12. Ivan was from the village of Tur in the Volyn region. He studied at the local school. Then he obtained the profession of a gypsum board installer at the Kamin-Kashyrskyi Higher Vocational School. In 2017-2020, he served under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation / Joint Forces Operation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In 2019, he was awarded the "Cossack Cross" of the III degree. After his discharge, he worked abroad. With the start of the full-scale invasion, on February 28, 2022, the man returned to the army to defend Ukraine again. Ivan served in the ranks of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He was a tank platoon gunner in the tank company of the tank battalion. "Thanks to him, the lives of many comrades were saved, as he valued them as much as himself. Ivan was a patriot of his state and remained faithful to the people of Ukraine until his last breath. We miss him very much, but we are proud of our Hero. We will always love him," said the sister of the fallen Maria Yevtushyk. The military was buried in his native village. At home, Ivan was awaited by his mother, brother, and two sisters.
