Ivan V. Ohorilko (Komendant)

Soldier Ivan Ohorilko (call sign Commandant) was killed on January 1, 2023, in battle with the occupiers near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 27 years old. Ivan was born in the village of Nova Kamyanka, Lviv region. After school, he stuwas killed to be a welder at a railway college. He loved life and dreamed of starting his own family. But to do this, he had to liberate Ukraine from the occupiers, so he went to war in 2015. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbas. He bravely and worthily carried out orders and tasks. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Ivan served in the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He continued to defend the Motherland on the front line and sincerely believed in victory over the enemy. "Ivan has been defending Ukraine since 2015. With the beginning of Russia's armed aggression, he went to the East again. He was very kind and sensitive. He never complained about anything, but said that he was there for us, for our future. We would never have thought that something like this would happen to him. He will forever remain in our hearts," the relatives of the fallen said. The defender was buried in his native village. At home, Ivan was awaited by his mother, relatives, and friends.
